CLUB INVENTORY

  • Organized, inventoried and labeled used bowls and bags for sale
  • Organized, inventoried and maintained inventory of club bowls
  • Organized and maintained club hospitality supplies
  • Established club keys program with $10 deposit (21 key holders)

CLUB STORE

  • Opened Club Store
  • Organized, inventoried & labeled Club Polo shirts for sale
  • Organized, inventoried & labeled & maintained stock: Grippo, Sleeves, Chalk, Belts, Measures
  • Replenished chalk, grippo, measures and belts in club store
  • Ordered CLBC Emblems for Club Store

EQUIPMENT

  • Initiated use of 10 new heavy Jacks
  • Ordered/received and initiated use of 18 new mats
  • Printed 303 Tournament Score Cards
  • Created a Club Bowls Cleaning Kit (polish, grippo, sleave, applicators)
  • City refurbished the large roller & serviced the blowers
  • Purchased new shelving for the additional shed
  • Purchased soft beverage icing bucket

PUBLICITY, PUBLICATIONS, COMMUNICATIONS, COMMUNITY RELATIONS

  • Updated and E-Mailed to Members:
    • Customs and Courtesies document
    • Coronado Rules and regulations document
    • Games Schedules document
  • Re-organized, updated,  improved and maintained  coronadolawnbowling.com
  • Established & maintained Coronado Lawn Bowling Facebook page
  • Maintained a submission of Club Games to Community Calendar in Eagle Journal
  • Submitted 22 Articles to Eagle Journal
  • Created and maintained photo albums (into 3rd album)
  • Created Google Map with Information & Pictures
  • Hosted table at Rotary’s Coronado Senior Faire
  • Hosted evening twilight bowling in June, July and August (Total of 214 participants)
  • Submitted stories and event information to E Coronado
  • City purchased 5 additional sets of Club Bowls
  • Printed 1000 Pocket Guides
  • Received and distributed SW LBA generic brochures

MEMBERSHIP

  • Began with 80 renewal members in January & finished with 106 members for 2011
  • Paid Coronado Senior Center Dues for all club members
  • Paid City of Coronado contribution for all members
  • Updated spreadsheet and paid Southwest dues for all members
  • Conducted Free Lesson Program based on call ins
  • Developed and distributed new member packets

 

WORK WITH PARKS AND RECREATION AND PARKS SERVICES

  • City purchased 5 additional sets of Youth Lawn Bowls
  • Reiterated request for the outside bulletin board & board announcing bowling times
  • Received permission to serve alcoholic beverages at club social functions
  • City installed additional shed
  • City moved bench from beneath the tree
  • City trimmed all trees adjacent to the Green
  • City repaired faulty gate lock
  • City provided a banner to use on fence or parade walking
  • City repaired and fueled blowers and adjusted sprinklers upon request

EVENTS & COMPETITION

  • Valentine’s Day 10 Ends at 10 & President’s Surprise
  • Patrick’s Day Green on Green Triples Tournament (18 players)
  • Established Southern League team members & hosted League play three times
  • Hosted SDLBC Visitation & participated in visitation to SDLBC
  • Had first ever CLBC entry in 4th of July parade
  • Hosted 2 Private Parties
  • Memorial Day Bowling and Picnic Potluck Lunch
  • Hosted First Annual Coronado Mixed Triples Tournament under SWLBA
  • Vet/Novice Pairs Tournament
  • Labor Day All Day Bowling and Potluck
  • Halloween Potluck, Bowling and Costume Contest
  • Club Singles Tournament
  • Club Knockout Tournament
  • Annual General Membership Meeting and Wrong Bias Box Party

EDUCATION

  • Contacted members for additional coaching
  • Conducted Middle School classes (Winter 2011 & Winter 2012)
  • Provided Spring Adult School Class (fall enrollment not made)
  • Developed Lesson Plans for 6 weeks of Youth Lawn Bowling
  • Conducted Fall Youth Lawn Bowling (Spring enrollment not made)

GREEN MAINTENANCE

  • Created Maintenance Binder with Maintenance Log
  • Created Green Use Calendar Log
  • Logged 25 person hours (@ 23 person days) of Green maintenance work
  • Had 12 Club Clean Up Days

BOARD OF DIRECTORS

  • Filled two vacant Board positions
  • Held 11 Board Meetings (no December Board Meeting)
  • Revised Constitution & By-Laws
  • Developed an 18-Month Activities Calendar (August 2011-December 2012)
  • Printed the 2012 Calendar

MISCELLANEOUS

  • Sent delegates to the SWA Men’s and Women’s Meetings
  • Pennies for Peace Collection Project – delivered pennies to school class
  • Assisted in the Senior Center Renovation project process
  • Worked out access to Senior Center when not staffed
  • Set up automated tournament scoring program
  • Accepted donation of bowls, bowling bag and bowling clothing
  • Hosted Oaks North informal visitation over four weeks when their Green was under repair
  • Began recording winners of Super Shots Club
